Midagahara is a wetland located on the Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route in Japan.
It is also close to the Tateyama Snow Corridor, a popular tourist spot. It is located on a gently sloping plateau at an altitude of more than 1,600 meters above sea level, and is home to many alpine plants, including a colony of cotton grasses, which are described as white fairies.
More than 3,000 ponds reflecting the glittering sunlight with many plants and flowers blooming around them is absolutely breathtaking, almost picturesque. The sea of clouds over the Toyama Plain, which can be seen by the fortunate, is also beautiful and a popular spot for photography.
