Kusasenri is one of the most famous spots in Aso, Kumamoto.
The name Kusasenri means a thousand leagues of grass.
Kusasenri is a caldera that still retains the sight of its volcanic crater. This grassland covers an area of about 785,000 square meters. Looking at the surrounding landscape, you can feel that you are standing in a caldera. It would be the best destination if you want to enjoy the changing colors of the four seasons and idyllic scenes of grass and trees.
From here, you can see the plume of smoke rising from Mt. Nakadake, one of the most active volcanoes in the world.
Not only is there a boardwalk, but you can also experience horseback riding, making it a location where you can enjoy activities.
