The Shin-Hotaka Ropeway runs along Mt. Hotaka in the Northern Japanese Alps in Gifu Prefecture.
The ropeway offers magnificent views of the Northern Japanese Alps, including Mt. Kasagatake, Mt. Yarigatake, Mt. Nishi-Hotaka, and Mt. Yake.
In summer, you can enjoy the lush green mountains that remind you of the strength of nature. You can also enjoy the autumn leaves and the all-white silver world from autumn to winter. The attraction changes throughout the year.
This is the only place in Japan where you can ride a double-decker ropeway gondola.
